CLASSES

This type of lesson works well for small groups (currently two-to-five participants) or individuals who would like to give this compelling art medium a try.  Choose from:

This lesson includes an introduction to the workings of the studio and time to answer any questions.

The glass must go into the annealer to cool slowly overnight.  Participants are asked to wear long sleeves, long pants, closed-toed shoes, and masks.  Non heat sensitive fabric for pants and shirts, please

Beginning Glass Blowing Type Lesson

The Beginning Glass Blowing type lesson is for one or two people.  This is a longer format, more in depth lesson.  It starts with practice using colorless glass from the furnace, trying out various tools to shape the molten glass.  After this, take a gather from the furnace, add some color and make a paperweight. 
Next the techniques used to making the paperweight are used in making a second project. Options include a vase or drinking glasses.  All the glass will need to go into the annealer to cool slowly overnight.
The Beginning Glass Blowing type lesson for one is 2 hours/$250 + tax and 2.5 hrs/$300 + tax for two participants.  Please wear long pants, long sleeves, closed-toed shoes and masks.  Non heat sensitive fabrics please.
